Note: It is strongly advised that trekkers arrive in Srinagar on time before the journey begins. A buffer day is not included in our program, however trekkers must add one to ensure their departure. It is occasionally necessary to postpone travel until the following day due to inclement weather.

Day 1: Srinagar to
Pahalgam to Deno Valley

Day 2: Deno Valley to Kanimul to Tulian Valley

How to Reach Srinagar, Kashmir.

There is only one commercial airport in Kashmir, and direct flights are available from Hyderabad, Bangalore, Jammu, Chandigarh, and Delhi (DEL). All flights to Srinagar (SXR), Kashmir, originate in various regions of India arrive via Delhi.

 There are public and private bus connections to Jammu from Delhi and other Indian cities. From Jammu on, you have a choice of the state government’s bus service or a tourist taxi to Srinagar. There will be simple access to tourist taxis, public transportation, and UT Government Bus Service from Jammu to Srinagar.

 The train services are only available connecting Jammu and Udampur. There will be simple access to tourist taxis, public transportation, and UT Government Bus Service from Jammu to Srinagar. The 270 km journey from Jammu to Srinagar typically takes 8 to 9 hours.

Best Time And weather

The summer months, from late May to the end of September, are the ideal times to hike to Tulian Lake in Kashmir. With less snow on the trail and generally milder temperatures, this time of year is ideal for trekking due to the favorable weather. In Kashmir, early June through mid-September is regarded as the ideal trekking season. Tulain Lake is a short hike that opens one month before than other popular treks, but it is best experienced when the snow has melted and the trails become visible. June, July, August and september month have more comfortable trekking temperatures, which range from 12°C to 24°C (55°F to 78°F) during the day. It’s crucial to remember that overnight temperatures can drop dramatically, so hikers should pack warm clothes. 

Note: Always check the current weather conditions and trail status before embarking on any trek, and consider consulting with local guides or trek organizers for the most accurate information.

Tulian Lake Trek in one day

The Tulian Lake trek can be completed in a single day, but it is more difficult. Completing 32 kilometers on a mountain trail in a single day is dependent on a variety of factors, including fitness level, acclimatization, and time of year. Only experienced hikers with a high level of endurance can complete it in a single day. We do not recommend doing this trek in a day for seasonal trekkers, beginners, or immature trekkers. Based on a variety of factors, all trek operators operate it as a four-day trek with fixed departure dates and as a two- or three-day trek for small private groups(Personalized). The trail has steep ascents and descents, and the altitude may be difficult for those who are not acclimatized.

The Tulian Lake trek in Kashmir is rated as easy to moderately difficult. This trek takes you to the pristine Tulian Lake after a 16-kilometer (one side) journey through jungle, meadow, and boulder walks. Cancellation Policy

The cancellation of any trek or tour must be notified by sending an email to info@himalayanbird.com.  Cancellation will be accepted only by receiving an email on official email address.

  • If the cancellation is requested 40 days before the first day of the trek, 90 percent of that amount will be refunded.
  • Cancellation requested between 40 to 30 days prior to the trek only partial refund will be provided. 
  • If cancellation is requested 30 days before the first day of the trek, in such a situation there will be only 30 percent amount refunded.
  • The decided trek fee can be changed if group size is decreased from the client end.
  • In case of any untoward situation like a natural disaster, national emergency, terrorist activity, bad weather conditions take place, we will be fully responsible to take decisions. 

Physical Fitness

  • Getting a medical certificate from a registered medical officer is must before starting your trek. If you suffer from severe lung/heart/muscle disorders or any disease that can turn fatal, You cant take part in any trek with us.
  • In case you lack the required fitness or  suffering from any disease that can turn fatal in the mountains, Himalayan Bird reserves the right to bar your participation from doing the trek without any refund/compensation.
  • Trekkers are advised to focus on physical fitness  in order to remain fit during the trek and explore better. Following endurances can help beginners and experienced trekkers to remain fit and explore better during the trek.

Trek Insurance

Having travel insurance is an important protocol all trekkers should follow. The cost of the trek doesn’t include any sort of insurance. Trekkers/Travelers travel insurance must cover accidents, injury, illness, and death medical expenses including any related to pre-existing medical conditions, emergency repatriation including helicopter rescue and air ambulance where applicable, and personal liability.
