Reaching the base camp of the trek from Airport/Srinagar takes 2 to 3 hours to cover the distance of 90 Km. Pahalgam is the most prominent tourist destination and is the dominant adventure hub of the Kashmir Valley. A number of adventure activities which includes trekking, mountaineering, skiing, White water rafting, Rock and Ice climbing, Zorbing and zipline make this hill station an ideal location for adventure enthusiasts in north India. Around the Pahalgam there are number of options for easy day hikes and Baisaran (Mini Switzerland) is the most beautiful among them. Mini Switzerland of Kashmir is located in the foothills of Mt. Katsal and is accessible from Pahalgam, Kashmir’s world-famous hill station. The moderate climate of Pahalgam makes it the best hill resort in India and Baisaran is the best day hike option from Pahalgam. The meadow is the part of Tulian Lake trek and is just 7 Km away from Pahalgam’s main market. Most of the tourists who come to Kashmir for a leisure tour also visit the Baisaran by walking or by riding a horse from Pahalgam. This place is fully photogenic and locals add more value to your photo and video shoot by , white pigeons and rabbits to make look more charming. Such mountain vistas are similar to the Alps and hence got the name mini Switzerland also.
Note: It is strongly advised that trekkers arrive in Srinagar on time before the journey begins. A buffer day is not included in our program, however trekkers must add one to ensure their departure. It is occasionally necessary to postpone travel until the following day due to inclement weather.

There is only one commercial airport in Kashmir, and direct flights are available from Hyderabad, Bangalore, Jammu, Chandigarh, and Delhi (DEL). All flights to Srinagar (SXR), Kashmir, originate in various regions of India arrive via Delhi.
There are public and private bus connections to Jammu from Delhi and other Indian cities. From Jammu on, you have a choice of the state government’s bus service or a tourist taxi to Srinagar. There will be simple access to tourist taxis, public transportation, and UT Government Bus Service from Jammu to Srinagar.
The train services are only available connecting Jammu and Udampur. There will be simple access to tourist taxis, public transportation, and UT Government Bus Service from Jammu to Srinagar. The 270 km journey from Jammu to Srinagar typically takes 8 to 9 hours.
The summer months, from late May to the end of September, are the ideal times to hike to Tulian Lake in Kashmir. With less snow on the trail and generally milder temperatures, this time of year is ideal for trekking due to the favorable weather. In Kashmir, early June through mid-September is regarded as the ideal trekking season. Tulain Lake is a short hike that opens one month before than other popular treks, but it is best experienced when the snow has melted and the trails become visible. June, July, August and september month have more comfortable trekking temperatures, which range from 12°C to 24°C (55°F to 78°F) during the day. It’s crucial to remember that overnight temperatures can drop dramatically, so hikers should pack warm clothes.

The Tulian Lake trek can be completed in a single day, but it is more difficult. Completing 32 kilometers on a mountain trail in a single day is dependent on a variety of factors, including fitness level, acclimatization, and time of year. Only experienced hikers with a high level of endurance can complete it in a single day. We do not recommend doing this trek in a day for seasonal trekkers, beginners, or immature trekkers. Based on a variety of factors, all trek operators operate it as a four-day trek with fixed departure dates and as a two- or three-day trek for small private groups(Personalized). The trail has steep ascents and descents, and the altitude may be difficult for those who are not acclimatized.
The Tulian Lake trek in Kashmir is rated as easy to moderately difficult. This trek takes you to the pristine Tulian Lake after a 16-kilometer (one side) journey through jungle, meadow, and boulder walks. While pony rides are available for specific sections of the Tulian Lake trek, it's crucial to note that they aren't recommended for the entire journey. Opting for a horse ride with a helper on the Tulian Trail may cost around 4500 to 6000 per day. Riding without a helmet and saddle poses risks, as seen in incidents in places like Sonamarg. Extended horse riding can lead to muscle strains, hindering walking afterward. Although suitable for easy terrains, covering a mountain trail for an extended period can compromise the true spirit of trekking. Prioritizing safety is key, and trekkers should be mindful of potential challenges with long horse rides in mountainous terrain. We reserve horses for our group treks only in cases of extreme fatigue or foot cramps, ensuring a balanced and safe trekking experience.
